This little washy raccoon was made with calligraphy pen and India ink. Coffee stained watercolor paper. I learned that this kind of ink will tolerate absolutely no water. It just bled rivulets. So I changed my tactics and surprised myself with a pen wash, mixed with watercolor. Not what I was thinking, but not displeasing. 🧐
Creation speaks of God and His principles. Perhaps he made the raccoon to be a model of cleanliness for us to learn from. 😁

I had a hobbit’s feasting over Thanksgiving. I have been blessed with so many spiritual and physical gifts! Scripture reminds us over and over to be thankful. Even in the middle of hardships. There is something about being thankful, that recreates our ability to truly “see.” I don’t know how to explain it. Perhaps the best way to find out, is to practice it. Even if we are not in the mood. 🧐 Practice develops habits and habits create a life. Even in the hardest of times, the sun comes up! For that I am truly grateful.
